Technically it is November but we finally got our layouts based on the October sketch completed. Here's a reminder of the sketch that we used.
With the weather tuning cold when I came across these photos I just had to scrap them as they reminded me of the warmth of summer. Call it my last attempt of hanging onto summer for as long as I can.
I have to confess that I did this layout in a hurry as I completely spaced on it. But that's what I love about sketches, if you are in a hurry you can just follow the sketch exactly and it tells you what to place where.
I also used a scrapbook kit for this one and everything but the yellow paper tape border is from the kit.
You can check out what Francine did with this sketch here.
Thanks for stopping by! Just two more months to year end!!
Sorry I am a day late with my post but I was travelling for work and then making cupcakes last night for the annual Pumpkinpalooza going here at RISD today. Lots of pumpkin goodies, apple cider and of course pumpkin pie. Anyway without further delay here is the sketch and free templates for October.

And remember to stop back later in October to see our layouts and to share what you did.
Happy fall! It's crazy to think that September is already at an end. Well here's the layout for this month based on the sketch below.
I have to admit that this is not a new layout. I kinda spaced on this and then did not have the time this week to get something new done but did not want to miss posting for September. However, this layout is loosely based on the sketch and uses the same elements that are in it...circle, 3 photos, and a paper strip.
I think this is a perfect example to show how versatile sketches can be. You can just take the basic elements from the sketch and use them to create your layout. You can turn the sketch in anyway you like and just make it work for you and the photos you are using.
Now go see what Francine did with this sketch...psst her layout is brand new.
See you in October!
And we are back!! Summer vacations are over, moves have been completed and the beginning of fall is in the air.
New sketch for this month. We will be posting our take on it in a couple weeks so hope you come back to see the reveal.
You can grab the image above are download it in various forms below.
It't can't be the first day of August already. Where is the summer going? Well we are a bit late with July's reveal of our layouts but here it is. Here's a reminder of the sketch that we used.
Last weekend I went on a girls overnight with some of my besties and as soon as I saw this photo of us from our trip I just knew I had to scrap it.
The story behind the title is that whenever people talk about camping and out door type activities my friend Marny and I always say that we don't do nature but on this trip we decided to be adventurous and check out some of the local flora and fauna.
There was even some swimming in the water you can see in the photo but the closest I got was what you see in the bottom photo. Hey what can I say being a Caribbean girl I have been known to be a bit of a beach snob! Here are some other close ups of details on the layout.
I also just love how these circles add just the right amount of colour and helps the photo to pop off the page. Oh and I even pulled out my circle cutter and used it for the first time in years. See its does pay to hold onto some stuff.
Now go check out what Francine has done with this sketch. Also if you want to play along with this or any of the previous sketches you can find them all here.
Just a note that we will be taking the month of August off due to vacations and other scrap life interrupting things. We will be back in September all bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Thanks for stopping by!
Here's the sketch that we will be working with for July.

Thanks for stopping by,
Are you ready to see what I did for this month's layout? Before we get to that here is a reminder of the sketch that we are working with.
This month I rediscovered my love of working with rubons on layouts. I have not used them in a long time. I love how you can do a lot of layering with them.
Here are some close ups of the various ways in which I used the rubons! A frame for some journaling.
To add some glamour to the side of the photo. I added the bling to the rubon to really give it some interest and make it stand out more.
As an accent to my paper border.
To help highlight the title of the layout.
Me with my besties Kristen and Marny! I have to say we clean up really nice!
If you want to play along you can still grab the freebie files here JPG | PDF | PSD

Yes we know we are a week late but better late than never and hey it is still May. As a reminder this is the sketch that we worked with this month.
And here is my take on it! I stuck pretty close to the original just eliminating where I placed my title.
Every summer in Providence I look forward to seeing the fires lit during Waterfire. It is a fun way to spend a summer evening! There is always lots to do, great food and drinks, and lots to see in addition to the fires. If you are ever in the area you should check it out. Here are some close ups of the layout!
I made the tag from some scrap kraft paper and used a using border punch to make it look fancy.
Now go see what Francine did with this sketch! Leave us a comment with a link if you did anything with the sketch!
Have a great day!
Scrapping is my passion as it allows me the freedom to express my creative side in many ways.
