10 Things to Knit or Crochet

The 10th of the month crept up on me and took me by surprise, but I still wanted to get my 10 Things post up.  so here's my 10 things one day late!

Lately it feels like I have only been knitting things for other people.  Don't get me wrong I love that I can make handmade gifts for my friends and family but I really want to start making some of the awesome things that I have been filling my Knit & Crochet board on Pinterest with.  So here in no particular order are 10 things I really want to make. Now I just need to find the time to get these and much more onto my needles!

10 Handmade Things for Kieran

My adorable nephew Kieran's 3rd birthday is this week.  I can't believe it has been three years already.  Where has the time gone.  So sticking with my new tradition of sending him something handmade (see what I made for Christmas here) in addition to something bought I made him a bunch of knitted play food.

I only had time to knit nine things before having to mail the box - if only I had a teleportation devise and did not have to rely on the post - but I also made him this awesome (if I may say so myself) birthday card, hence my 10 handmade things for Kieran

Stripes and Dots...Oh My!

Here's the last of my apple picking layouts (at least for now) using stripes and polka dot paper together.  I am amazing myself how quickly I am getting these done.  Thanks for a great class Shimelle.

I am doing Shimelle's new class Pretty Paper Party and finally got a couple layouts done for it.  This is what I love about her classes...you can do them at your own pace so it takes the pressure off.

I was so pleased with myself as I was able to knock these out in no time I think in part from the great inspiration I got from taking part in True Scrap this weekend plus Shimelle's awesome prompts with great inspirational layouts.

Exploration

Remember the journal that I made with handmade papers that I got at the RISD store, well I have finally found the perfect thing to use it for.  My playbook for the latest Shimelle class that I am doing.  It is called Explore.  I'll be posting from time to time about what I am doing in the class but for starters here is my book all embellished for the class.

I really hope to keep up with this one as I am loving the prompts that we have received thus far plus I think my play book will really help me.
