Thank You Card With Paint

Here's a quick Thank You card that I whipped up using mostly Ranger Ink products.

Step 1: Stamp image with Archival Ink onto Craft Tag.

Step 2: Using Claudine Hellmuth Studio paint minis apply paint direct from bottle to stamped image.  Let dry completely.

Step 3: Cut a piece of plain card stock a quarter inch smaller than the size that the card will be.  So in this case my card will be 5X7 so the plain cardstock is 4 3/4 x 6 3/4.  Use Studio Paint mini to make dots along the bottom edge.

Step 4: Add brad and bakers twine to tag and adhere to decorated cardstock.

Step 5:  Add letter stickers with sentiment of your choice.

Step 6: Attach to store bought card form or you can make your won as I did using Kraft paper.

Sharing the lasted how-to that I did for the Ranger Inklink yahoo group!

Supplies

Ranger Products: Inkssentials Surfaces Metal Foil Tape Sheets, Tim Holtz Distress Stain, Claudine Hellmuth Studio Mini Acrylic Paint Sets, Inkssentials Surfaces Artist Trading Cards Kraft and Canvas, Archival Ink.

Other Products: Invisibles cardstock, Baker's Twine, Ribbon, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug

Step 1: Run the Foil Sheet through the Cuttlebug using the embossing folder.

Step 2: Using the Studio Paint, enhance the raised surface of the embossed Foil Sheet and set aside to dry.  Ink the edge of the canvas trading card with Archival Ink and the edge of the Kraft artist trading card with Distress Stain.  Attach the painted, embossed foil to the trading cards.

Step 3: Cut the Invisibles cardstock to size (I used 5 x 7) and cover with the Distress Stain.  The varnished areas of the cardstock will resist the stain.  Attach these to pre-made card forms.

Step 4: Add ribbon and baker's twine to the cards then adhere the trading cards.  I left an area to put a sentiment later when I decide who or what occasion I will use these cards for

Holiday Cards using Ranger Products

Sharing the cards that I featured in my latest Inkling (monthly how to) on the Yahoo Ranger Inklink group.

Third generation stamping with Archival ink, inked the edges with Distress ink, and the "pearl" dots are Liquid Pearls.

Used Inkssentials white pen and Perfect Mist to add some detail and shimmer to the pointsettia which I cut with my Silhouette.

Distress stickles to add sparkle to the trees.

Spray Washes & Mists

My sister Francine did a class a couple of weekends ago as part of True Scrap II showing the many ways in which you could use spray inks and spray inks and it inspired this layout that I did for my Ranger Inklink Yahoo group this month.   I used clear stamps as a mask with spray washes and mists.  This is just one of the many techniques that Francine demonstrated in her class.

I took a short hiatus from doing Inklings for the Yahoo Ranger group but I am now back.  Here is what I came up with for October.  I had Halloween on the brain.

Good Mail Week

This week my mail box has had some awesome stuff.  On Monday I received a box packed full of awesome new Ranger Ink stuff - thank you Donna and Ranger.  I do a monthly how to on the yahoo Rangerinklink group and this is their way of saying thanks.  I can't wait to play with my new goodies. 

On Wednesday it was some vintage music sheets I had ordered from Etsy.  I plan to use them in my Christmas card making this year.  Then yesterday I got my November Little Black Dress kit.  My wonderful sister Francine is on their Design Team arranged for me to get one of these kits - thank you sis.  I am in love with this kit and will have to get a subscription to it after the holiday madness is over.  I think this was just what I needed to get the mojo flowing for my holiday crafting.  I am so happy that I am on vacation next week so I can play with all my new stuff.

September Inkling

For my September InkIing for the Yahoo Rangerinklink group I  decided to play with a couple colors of the Alcohol Ink - Brights and some Tim Holtz Fragments I have had sitting around.

 

I used the applicator tool to apply the two colors of the alcohol ink and then flipped over the fragments so that the alcohol ink was on the bottom and then stamped the image and phrase with black Ranger Archival Ink.  I will be using this on a wooden cigar box that I am in the process of altering.  Simple but effective.
