Last year I attempted Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class and did not get very far. Ok to be honest I got as far as the cover and the first page. The neat thing about this class is that if you joined in once you can participate every Christmas after that for no additional cost. So I am trying again this year.
I am being smarter about it and instead of just having all the supplies that I think that I will use handy I went ahead and put my album together. Now all I have to do is add the journaling and a photo for each day. I can add extra embellishments as well if needed.
The class runs December 1st to Jan 6 but I am going to stop on December 31st. Here is my album and a sample of the pre-made pages. Page 1 was from last year but it pertains to this year as well so I guess I am a day ahead already! I used stuff in my stash that I have had for at least a year or two and my Bind-it-all.
Beautiful, Vernell....I'm a 'can't do ahead' girl-I need to see what pics I'm going to use before I can put a page together..am very envious that you are so organised!!

Fabulous effort - your book looks gorgeous! I agree that planning ahead is essential to getting the project finished. This'll be my third year and I definitely intend to make an early start this time. Good luck!

this is gorgeous. Can you answer a question for me as I am new to the bind it all. I understand that the covers are chipboard and sold as a pack of 2...my question is the inside pages you used. Are they just cardstock or did you purchase square chipboard pages to go inside and cover them with cardstock? I would be afraid that cardstock only pages would not hold up well...any suggestions as i am contemplating what to do with my JYC album...would be helpful.

Tracy I just used cardstock for my pages. You can also buy page protectors that are made for the bind-it-all if you feel more comfortable going that route. The come pre punched so you just add your pages to them and then punch the holes for the cover. Also just so you know you don't have to use the pre made covers you can cut chipboard or cardboard to any size you want and use as covers. Hope this helps.
