I Do!

So with Francine's move into a new apartment and her internet being hooked up a yet I will be posting 3 or 4 layouts this month and then Francine will add her versions in November.

I have always wanted to scrap these photos of my parents on their wedding day.  I love how young and happy they look.  The song I used ("Don's Want to Miss a Thing") is by Aerosmith and is from the movie Armageddon it also happens to be the song that Sheldon and I danced to at our wedding and I just love the words.  I of course have not touched my wedding photos as yet but this has inspired me to want to do them.  How about you?  If you are married have you scrapped your wedding photos?

School Bell Ring

Here is my take on those photos of us in our uniforms. (This layout is also part of the Write.Click.Scrapbook September gallery)

 

The title "Ting a ling a ling, school bell ring" is taken from a West Indian nursery rhyme. We actually had that kind of bell at our schools! I paper pieced the bell accent by using clip art as a template.

I have a pretty clear memory of this day, I remember my shoe laces were very dirty because they had gotten untied and had been dragging on the ground all day. Most of all I remember just being generally excited to start secondary school!

School Days

We thought it was fitting to use these photos of us in our school uniforms for our first September layouts.  These were taken in Grenada in 1979.  Francine (on the left) was 11 and in her first year at secondary school and I was 8 still in primary school.
