“Like seeing a photograph of yourself as a child, encountering handwriting that you know was once yours but that now seems only dimly familiar can inspire a confrontation with the mystery of time.” ~Francine Prose,
Happy August! For the past two years I have done Susannah Conway's August break and here it is August again. It is a simple challenge where you use the prompt and take a photo for that day. That's it! No pressure, no expectations - just a chance to take the time to be in the moment. I also decided this year to use this as an opportunity to attempt to update my blog everyday for a month. So here's day 1.
“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.” ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald
December is just around the corner and that means so is Christmas. With all the hustle and bustle that happens around this time each year I was happy to see that Susannah Conway is doing a no obligation photo challenge for December called December Reflections. A fun, no stress way to just pause for a bit each day and just live in the moment. She had done some thing similar in August which was a lot of fun.
Susannah provides a list of prompts (click on image above) but it is entirely up to you if you want to use these or just photograph whatever tickles your fancy in that moment on that day. Easy, peasy!
This is a great way to document some of your activities for December and to actually stop and enjoy the moment! Why not join in the fun?
Sorry if you were expecting to see an update of my knitting and crochet works in progress. It dawned on me that a weekly update may have been a bit to ambitions so I have decided to move to a bi-weekly update schedule. So enjoy this wonderful bloom that Sheldon got from the garden yesterday instead. Happy Hump Day!
